Jeff is a disciplined and insightful coach who combines his background in tennis, music, and pickleball to offer a unique, holistic approach to instruction. A graduate of Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Mathematics, Jeff went on to earn a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the prestigious New England Conservatory. Jeff’s career as a professional violinist includes performances with top orchestras in the greater Boston area and as a member of the Fenway String Quartet.
Jeff's teaching experience at New England Conservatory’s Preparatory School and the Brookline Public School Music Extension Program has honed his ability to connect with students, break down complex concepts, and tailor his coaching to each individual’s learning style. His commitment to excellence has been recognized through several prestigious scholarships, including the Harold Whitworth Pierce Charitable Trust Endowment for Financial Aid, the South Mountain Music Association Scholarship, the Stilton Music Scholarship, and the Roche Grant.
With extensive experience in tennis, professional violin performance, and now pickleball, Jeff draws from each of these disciplines to teach with precision, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the mental and physical aspects of sport.His time as a competitive tennis player further enriches his coaching, giving him a unique perspective on hand-eye coordination, court positioning, and athletic conditioning. These skills, along with his expertise in deliberate practice, mental focus, and technique, translate seamlessly to pickleball, where Jeff emphasizes the importance of strategy, consistency, and adaptability.
Whether on the tennis court, in the concert hall, or on the pickleball court, Jeff brings the same passion, discipline, and work ethic that defines his success.
