Mickey has been in the field of wellness spanning a career over the past 29 years. She graduated nursing school from MassBay Community College in 1990, specializing in nephrology as a dialysis nurse. She has also worked in geriatrics and helped many people overcome addictions. Mickey decided she wanted to continue her education in the wellness field and was in the first graduating class at MBCC for Massage Therapy. Soon after she started up her own business, “Wellness with Mickey” as a licensed and insured Massage Therapist specializing in Medical Massage, Deep Tissue/Sports Massage, and Neuromuscular Massage. She especially enjoyed helping women diagnosed with breast cancer overcome many medical challenges.
Mickey was the first and only woman recently inducted into the Millis Athletic Hall of Fame in Nov 2018 for her athletic achievements while in high school. She excelled in field hockey, basketball, and tennis and held a record of 14 varsity letters. In her spare time Mickey volunteers at a local food pantry and is involved in town politics and the Millis Council on Aging. Mickey also enjoys fishing on the banks of the Charles River and loves spending time at the Mass Audubon Society.
